Position Description

• Client is seeking a qualified applicant to fill a Research Technician position for the in-vivo biology team in Translational Immunology.
• The team, in collaboration with the scientific staff of the Immunology Department, is responsible for designing and utilizing in vivo models to investigate the pathophysiology of important human diseases, to determine the role of specific molecules and pathways in those disease processes, and to evaluate therapeutic candidates both for proof-of-concept purposes and for efficacy.

Position Requirements

• The position requires a minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in working with various laboratory animals with expertise in animal handling, inoculations, blood and tissue collections.
• In vivo studies may involve the use of radio-isotopes, infectious agents and hazardous materials and require time commitment in the evening and on weekends.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a team member are essential.
• Applicants must have at least a BS in the biological sciences.
