• Sr. R&D Chemist / Engineer

Position Description

• Responsible for researching, developing, testing, and evaluating new and existing products, processes, and raw materials for the field of abrasives applications, especially in slurry, lubricant, cleaner and compound  product lines.
  

Position Responsibilities

• Experience with specialty chemicals, lubricants, solvents, and polishing slurries for electronic precision polishing and chemical mechanical planarization is highly preferred. 
• MUST have experience with key analytical tools, i.e., FTIR, GC, NMR, HPLC, MS and wet methodologies is essential for this position. 
• Must be capable of developing new & improved products; abrasive slurries, lubricants, compounds & cleaners.
• Must be able to understand the lapping and polishing applications requirements of the products and customize them to achieve the desired performance results.
• The candidate should have a good background and knowledge in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Surface & Colloid Science.
• Should be familiar with both aqueous and oil based compounds.

Position Description

• Perform laboratory chemical analyses on a wide range of materials and finished products. 
• Analyze findings and prepare all associated technical product information. 
• Responsible for developing formulations, identifying performance and quality standard requirements of products in development, and fully characterizing existing products to meet the needs of Sales and Marketing.  
• Determine if raw materials and finished products meet set standards/specifications.  
• Write manufacturing and testing procedures, and ensure the proper procedures are followed.  
• Inspect returned merchandise and conduct evaluations to determine if products conform to standards. 
• Run pilot tests, record, and analyze results for product improvement or development.  
• Write reports detailing chemical characteristics and cost information on product improvements.  
• Support efforts of continued compliance with cGMP, FDA, Kosher, NOP and various other regulatory requirements.

Position Description

• The Flavorist provides essential support to our customers, internal and external, regarding the creation, duplication, selection and presentations of flavors. Due to the high volume of requests and customers served, this position requires urgency, flexibility, and responsiveness.  

Position Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for: producing and selecting the appropriate flavors to support customer needs, assist in prototype formulation, flavor application interaction and building technical credibility with external customers through project interaction and successful flavor solutions.
  
• Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure timely and accurate support to the Business Unit Group (BUG) needs to provide necessary detailed information to allow for meeting customer's needs on a daily basis.
• Ingredient Understanding - Continuously increase the ingredient knowledge and handling experience; Maintain formulations in Product Vision to allow for continued support of customer needs across business units; Understanding the newest ingredients available to address the growing regulatory requirements of the market; Providing support for alternative raw material sourcing; Actively work with Technology and Innovation in understanding the next technology being introduced and work with applications to maximize impact in BUG.
• Data Management - Ensure these duties are completed in the lab by self and/or junior staff to provide credibility to the products created in the lab and provide ability for gold mining of data: Maintains flavor information history and flow of customer-specific information into Product Vision; Updating daily the creation/modification information into Product Vision Notes; Providing support for the junior level in department for good practices

Position Description

Position Description

• The Method Transfer Scientist is responsible for the following:
•  Method transfers/method verifications/co-validations of compendial and non-compendial analytical methods utilized across the company according to written procedures; 
• Testing of routine and non-routine samples where specialized training is essential; 
• Providing technical expertise and leadership.  The position also requires a broad knowledge of analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical development, and regulatory requirements.  This position reports to the Manager, Technical Support and has no direct reports.
  
  

Position Responsibilities

• Performs method transfers/method verifications/co-validations of testing procedures utilized within the Quality Control laboratory.
  
• Prepares testing documentation or progress reports on projects and recommends course of future action. 
• Acts as liaison between the Product Development, Stability, and the QC Chemistry laboratories for the transfer and implementation of new procedures. 
• Investigates complex problems occurring in the Analytical laboratories and report results as necessary. 
• Provides leadership and expertise as required in projects where troubleshooting of analytical methods and instrumentation is required.

• Skilled at color matching and is responsible for quickly matching colors within customer or market sector platform formulations.
• Skilled at rapid formulation and manipulation of standard powder coatings technologies and within product platforms.
• Provides customer assistance including, where appropriate, visits to customer facilities or customer visits to company site.
• Supervise and trouble-shoot the production of products in manufacturing.

• Promotes the quality system through adhering to the elements of and being familiar with the philosophy, quality statement, quality manual, and procedures.
