• Sr. Lab Technician

Position Description

• The Senior Lab Technician will be responsible for all phases of laboratory analysis in an industrial laboratory environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Informs Site Manager, Unit Manager, and Quality Assurance Coordinator of all issues, problems or concerns of operations, quality related, and the laboratory.  
• Perform daily analysis of finished products, and shipments utilizing the test procedures outlined in the laboratory procedures manual or the monograph.
• Perform analysis on in-process products and raw materials as required.
• Perform instrument calibrations on laboratory test equipment and works with outside contractors to do the same.
• Maintains laboratory equipment.
• Provide written and verbal feedback of test results to affected parties.
• Track and maintain inventories of chemicals and supplies for the lab.
• Review Compendial Methods and update test procedures as required.
• Fully trained to perform test procedures in other areas of the Plant Quality Department.
• Actively support site committees; safety, Management Review Board, etc.
• Serve as an internal ISO Auditor for the site.
• Check the pH of the plant effluent weekly and report and deviations to plant management.  Monthly test a composite sample of the plant effluent and a grab sample from the Village sewer discharge for chemical properties.
• Train new/existing employees in laboratory procedures.
• Operates in compliance with all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations.  
• Performs housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Complies with all corporate/plant policies and procedures.  
• Maintains laboratory files for specific area of responsibility (i.e. notebooks, testing, instrument documentation).

Position Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in the related sciences required. Bachelor’s Degree in related sciences preferred.
• Must have at least five (5) years of laboratory experience as an analyst.
• Working knowledge of wet/dry chemistry and instrumental methods of analysis.
• Computer skills such as Microsoft Office, SAP and Microsoft Outlook.

• Quality Control Technician 

Position Description

• Will be conducting sample testing on raw food materials. Assuring quality is meeting company standards.  

Position Responsibilities

• Monitoring packaging and production operations 
• Checking the packaging lines for accuracy, and reporting errors if necessary
• Sampling raw material (chemicals)
• Performing inspection on incoming and outgoing materials.
• cGMP compliance in the plant

• BS in Chemistry is required.
• Good math skills are important.
• Candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs

Job Title

·        Quality Technician

Position Description

·        Prepares, applies, and evaluates paint or paint related materials to identify physical and chemical attributes for such purposes as product development, product maintenance, and color development by performing the following duties under moderate to direct supervision and guidance.

Position Responsibilities

·        Activity and Proficiency requirements are detailed in attached table.

·        Prepares and monitors small batches by following standard procedures and observing company health and safety regulations.

·        Prepares samples through methods such as hand or machine spray application, draw down, pour-out, and others.

·        Evaluates samples of new and existing products, as required, for characteristics such as stability, durability, physical/chemical properties, and coloristic attributes. Judges panels to identify characteristics and defects as necessary.

·        Maintains detailed technical records, as required, in the form of Laboratory Notebooks (R&D) or in the Color Development databases (Color). Provides reporting in memo and spreadsheet formats as required.

·        Maintains a well-stocked laboratory by taking inventory and monitoring raw material and product consumption.

·        Maintains a safe and clean work environment in accordance of company safety rules to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environments and safety regulations.

·        Perform additional duties as assigned and required

Position Requirements

·        Minimally, high school diploma or general education degree (GED).

·        Ability to lift 50lbs or more

·        Previous experience in similar industry is a plus

·        Experience in quality testing 

·        Documentation and ability to work with word, excel or any other pc software

·        Ability to work all shifts, over time when needed
