Position Description
- Assembles and fills batches of color blending according to standard procedures. Operates and maintains the required equipment.
Position Responsibilities
- Ensure paint is properly mixed, filtered, labeled, and loaded on pumps in a timely and efficient manner in order to meet the requirements of the production line.
- Ensure safe use of mixers and set all pumps to desired pressures.
- Maintain bulk tanks to ensure cleanliness and working order to meet production requirements.
- Properly label, package, and transport all mix room waste materials.
- Maintain accurate mix usage records, which are inputted by the end of each painting shift for environmental reporting.
- Maintain accurate inventory and proper storage of materials.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and use countermeasures in parameters, techniques, and processes to achieve the highest quality possible.
- Install and maintain equipment.
- Participate in quality improvement teams for continuous improvement of mix room processes.
- Utilize defect analysis and procedures to find root cause(s) for ongoing quality concerns and suggesting implementation solutions.
- Maintain a safe workplace by following all SOPs, wearing proper personal protective equipment, performing bonding and grounding, using good lifting practices, and keeping workplace clean and organized.
- Follow all applicable environmental regulations and corporate policies.

- The individual in this position will interact with Chemists by following their formula for the batch.
- Must be able to understand the batch procedure, monitor equipment, batch temperature, and follow the procedure.
- Ability to identify when a step in the process in reacting contrary to expectations and take proper action to resolve.
- Complete batch processing independently.
- Run the process accurately and safely.
- Perform required QC tests the day of batch or day after. This includes weigh up of raw materials, testing batch after completion for viscosity, EEW, non volitiles plus other tests as needed.
- Consistent delivery on commitments to customers.
- Communicate to all appropriate levels
